Mental health and wellbeing support

 

  • Birmingham Mind Helpline: Emotional support, advice, and signposting for people experiencing mental health difficulties.

    The Birmingham Mind Helpline provides support for mental health issues. You can contact them at:

    • Phone: 0121 262 3555 (Freephone: 0800 915 9292)
    • Hours: 9am – 11pm, every day birminghammind.org+2.

  • Black Country Healthcare Mental Health Support: Information, advice, and access to local mental health support, including Sanctuary Hubs for people needing emotional support.

Crisis support

If you feel overwhelmed or are struggling to cope, immediate help is available. Please do not hesitate to reach out to these vital services:

  • Samaritans: Call 116 123 for free, confidential support at any time.
  • NHS 111 Mental Health Crisis Support: Contact NHS 111 and select the mental health option for urgent support.
  • Emergency: In an emergency where there is immediate danger, call 999.

 

SilverCloud

Silver Cloud is an online wellbeing programme designed to help people manage stress, anxiety, and depression. The programme consists of a series of modules tailored to individual needs and selected by a therapist. The eight-week course can be completed at your own pace, allowing you to work through the content at a time that suits you. It provides practical tools, strategies, and guidance to support your mental health and wellbeing.

 

 

CALM Helpline  0800 58 58 58

The CALM helpline is open 5pm until midnight every day of the year. Their helpline is for people in the UK who are feeling down for any reason and need to talk or find information and support.

West Midlands Men's Aid is committed to helping you find the support you need. While we focus on mental health, we understand that other aspects of life can impact wellbeing. For assistance with housing and other related concerns you can  consult with local council resources or charities specializing in these areas.

Homelessness Support

Local councils provide various forms of support for individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness. 

To apply for homeless help, individuals must contact their local council and explain their situation. The council will review the application and determine the appropriate level of support.
